You’ve Got UNewHaven Questions, We’ve Got Answers
Q: How do I engage with Journey?
A: Journey is a tool that helps you follow through on what’s important to you.
How do I ask for help?
- UNH + your question → for anything campus-related
e.g. UNH When is the involvement fair? - J + your question → for wellness support
e.g. J I’m feeling anxious about classes.
💡You can also reply to any nudge with a sentence to add to your private journal.
How do I personalize my nudges?
Just react with:
- ❤️ = Helpful + I Took Action
- 👍 = Helpful
- 👎 = Not Quite Right
Feedback makes your nudges smarter.
How do I use my journal?
You don’t have to do anything fancy. Just reply to a nudge (for example, when asked a question like “What are you grateful for today?”) reply with a sentence: “I’m grateful for nice weather today.”
That info gets stored in your profile and adds 1 💎 gem to your experience. Get 50 gems for a free tee shirt.
Your response is private—it goes in your digital journal and isn’t shared with anyone on campus.

Q: Wait… which Bergami is which?
A: UNH has two buildings named Bergami:
- Bergami Hall → Dorms, One Stop (ID cards, bursar), Dunkin’, Moe’s, WOW Cafe, Gaming Lounge.
It’s across from the Marketplace and by Zolad Stadium. This is the brick building. - Bergami Center → Academic building with labs and classrooms. Connected to Buckman Hall.
If you’re seeing signs for “Fuel Cell” or “Buckman,” you’re near the right place.
📍 If your class says “Bergami,” it’s probably the Center. Want the 🗺️ campus map? https://map.concept3d.com/?id=1284

How to Use Journey Nudge
+ Step 1: Save Contact
It might sound obvious, but saving us as a contact in your phone will help your brain associate our messages with intention, positivity and progress. After all, a text from “Journey” feels a lot more personal than a text from “1-917-777-7778,” right?
+ Step 2: Take Your Time
Open it now. Open it later. Doesn’t matter. What matters is you open it your way. Some people read the nudge the second it hits. Others let it sit like a fine wine.
Either way, each message is a micromoment to interrupt the chaos and breathe. Read it like you mean it.
Let it sink in. That’s when the magic of a nudge hits.
+ Step 3: Make Yours
Some of our texts will feel spot-on, like we’re watching your every move (we aren’t). Others, at first glance, may seem like they don’t pertain to you until you take a moment to think more deeply.
But no matter which text you receive today, we encourage you to read it with an open mind.
Ask yourself:
Why do I need to hear this right now?
What does this have to do with me?
How can I apply this to my own life?
By searching for meaning and making an effort to view each text within the context of your life’s circumstances, you become an active participant in your own growth.
+ Step 4: Speak Your Mind
Journaling has been proven to improve mental and emotional independence and IQ, making it easier to process complex thoughts and emotions.
Some texts specifically ask for a response, while others are more open-ended statements that simply get your brain’s wheels turning. Although you never have to text back, we’ve found that travelers who regularly respond to our messages have reported the highest levels of growth.
Just like a physical journal, unless you start your message with the letter J, we won’t respond as a chat, and we won’t judge anything you say.
Think of Journey as a digital journal that’s always willing to start the conversation and give you the space to speak freely.
+ Step 5: Reflect. Repeat. Grow.
Want to keep track of your growth over time? Need a little nudge in the right direction? Curious about how you felt a few weeks or months ago?
A text that didn’t quite click last week may resonate tonight because of something you experienced this morning. You can always scroll through your Journey text thread to find hidden gems from the past, glimpses of perspective for the present, and inspiration for the future. Enjoy!
+ Step 6: Have Fun
At the end of the day, we’re here to help you focus on what you think matters—and nine times out of ten, what matters most is the thing that makes you smile. That lights you up. That feels like play.
So laugh. Dance. Build. Wander. Be ridiculous. Do something just because it’s fun. You deserve that.
Welcome to Journey Nudge. A damn good conversation starter—with yourself.
Keep going. See you tomorrow. Yours,
